For people who are planning to build their own Sun, ARB Intensity Solis lights can now be linked with up to 4 lights being controlled from one touchpad or LINX connector. (Note important instructions page 2 of this release)
Providing a solution for single grouped touchpad dimming for the ARB Intensity Solis, ARB now has a full plug and play splitter patch cable (SJBCABY) to suit the unique ARB Intensity Solis harness. (SJBHARN)
This new patch cable is the only way to connect 3-4 lights and keep dimming control to one touchpad (grouped). This will make sure the ARB Intensity Soils lights will function correctly at all brightness levels without interference or overloading circuits and work seamlessly with the wiring harness (SJBHARN) used to run a set of ARB Intensity Solis lights. Note each pair of ARB Intensity Solis lights will require there own SJBHARN.
The new patch cable is available from the ARB main warehouse now and further stock arriving in May 2021.

Note when you update to 3 plus lights currently, you will need to purchase a new GEN2 touchpad to control
the lights correctly, controlling more then 3 lights with the current
touchpad included in the current ÔÇ?SJBHARNÔÇ? box will not function
correctly. We are transitioning to the new touch pad to be
included in the harness box and to identify a new touch pad there
will be a ÔÇ?G2ÔÇ? near the barcode on the ÔÇ?SJBHARNÔÇ? box, see image
right. G2 will indicate that this is the updated touchpad to control
more then 2 Solis lights. Any questions please don't hesitate to
contact the product's team.
 
 

Special Instructions Touchpad ÔÇô Important

During the transition period to run out current looms (SJBHARN) to have included the new Gen 2 touchpad controller, current setups or previous setups in vehicles now will require a new touchpad to be installed if they wish to install more than 2 lights. This new touchpad is available from the ARB warehouse under part number - SJBSWTDG2 and is the only touchpad that will make more than 2 Intensity Solis lights work correctly on your vehicle.
To update a vehicle currently to 3 plus lights now, you will need to order part number ÔÇ?SJBCABYÔÇ? &ÔÇ?SJBSWTDG2ÔÇ? (plus additional harness's). The ÔÇ?SJBCABYÔÇ? will connect the two harness (SJBHARN) together to the new touchpad ÔÇ?SJBSWTDG2ÔÇ?. If your harness box ÔÇ?SJBHARNÔÇ? has the ÔÇ?G2ÔÇ? on it then you will only need the ÔÇ?SJBCABYÔÇ? as the touchpad will be the new updated version included in your SJBHARN box.
The transition should occur over the next few months and if your stock of looms does not have the G2 near the barcode as pictured above, you will require the updated touchpad (if connecting more than 2 lights) otherwise the ARB Intensity Soils lights may not function correctly. If your loom (SJBHARN) has the G2 on the box then no new touchpad will need to be ordered separately if connecting more the 2 lights.
 
FITTING TIMES WILL VARY BUT 30MINS SHOULD BE SUFFICE TO COMPLETE THE UPDATED PART OF THIS JOB.
